Players this game:
Neel (Ghost tusk)
Each of the players responded to a message sent from Smiley the fixer to meet up at an Ork-spliotation bar in Mid town Seattle. Smiley was meeting in the back of the bar in a heated conversation with one of the record execs for the band that was suppose to be playing at the club that night, but once the shadowrunners entered, he quickly dropped the Faux-Jamaican accent and got right to the point: he had a job for the 5 runners that involved a smash and grab in Ghoul territory. Issac was able to negotiate 10% increase with hazard pay for each of the characters because of this fact.
The characters sat in the back room and got to size each other up quickly and get a feel for if this run would be beneficial to all involved, and it seemed that an alliance could be struck for the purposes of this mission. Also it seemed as though Spectre and Excetera knew each other already. After all agreeing to take the job, Smiley gave the coordinates for the location of the job, then went back to his role as Jamaican Tusker Club Owner with out even missing a beat. The party never stuck around to find out if the Slow Wailers did ever go on stage, but Harper ended up going home with one of the Ork waitresses only to find out she was an ork poser, and further she was a rich corporate brat who had brought him back to her parent’s place for the evening’s activities.
The party reassembled at a location Issac had designated and swapped their information they had gathered the night before, with the exception of Harper who still smelled of dental glue and sex. Excetera and Spectre had teamed up surveillance with spirits and drones and had found out that even the ghouls avoided the location they were given to break into. The building was surrounded by a background count that made the spirit really unsettled to be in the vicinity. The drone could only reach so far into the building before hitting a wireless block, meaning that there were not internet signals going out of the building.
Ghost Tusk and Issac had used their contacts to find out that the building had been a software company that had gone under after the area was taken over by ghouls, but then an environmental consulting company had moved into the building with the intention of gentrifying the area. The plan had seemed to fail however, as there hadn’t been any contact from anyone with in this company for years. Ghost Tusk had also found out that there were sewers connected to the building that the party could penetrate the perimeter with so that they could retrieve the hard disk they were paid to recover.
Harper had the idea to use dead bodies that he could acquire as bait for the Ghouls, in the event the team had to offer something else in order to escape. The game ended with a plan starting to take place where in the party would infiltrate the building through the sewer entrance
Next game: Infiltrate the building and recover the hard drive.
